Description

Harriet Cowan: Life on the Farm

Thursday 5th November 7pm | Tickets £12

Join us for an evening with Harriet Cowan as she launches her first book, Life on the Farm.

At just twenty-five, Harriet is one of the most recognisable farmers in the country. She won the nation over when she stepped in as farmhand for Jeremy Clarkson on Clarkson’s Farm, more than holding her own and bringing real know-how, quick wit and plenty of honesty about what farming actually involves. A qualified nurse and a farmer through and through, she was raised in a way of life handed down from her grandparents to her parents and now to her.

For Harriet, farming has never just been about putting food on the table. It’s about community, love and hard work, day in, day out. In Life on the Farm, she shares what that way of life really looks like: a typical day on the farm, the values she lives by, the challenges facing Britain’s farmers today and why buying local matters. It’s warm, funny and straight-talking, much like Harriet herself.

On the night
Harriet will take to the stage to talk about farming, country life and the stories behind the book, followed by an audience Q&A.

Waterstones will be with us selling copies of Life on the Farm, and Harriet will be signing books after the talk.

Your ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival, with live music to round off the evening.
