Is your dog fit for a queen?

A very discerning judge is coming to Dunkertons Park. Pizza the Queen, dog influencer and certified royalty, is searching for her Perfect Pooch and your dog could take the crown.

Entering is easy. Make a minimum £5 donation to The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, then send us your dog's best photo. Scruffy, regal, mid-zoomie or fast asleep, every dog is welcome.

All entries will be on show at our Dogs of Dunkertons event on Sunday 15th November, where Pizza and her royal servant (her owner) will choose their winner. They'll be looking for character, charm and a photo that makes them smile. Pizza's Perfect Pooch wins a luxurious gift hamper and a photo with the queen herself.

Dogs of Dunkertons runs from 10am to 3pm, with the winner crowned at 1pm. Can’t make it on the day? You can still enter and we’ll be in touch if your dog wins.

Every donation goes directly to The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, helping local dogs and cats find the loving homes they deserve.

How to enter

1. Make a minimum of a £5 donation at Dunkertons Photo Competition - Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home
2. Email your donation confirmation and a photo of your dog to office@dunkertonscider.co.uk, with "Pizza's Perfect Pooch" in the subject line
3. Tell us your name and your dog's name
4. Join us on Sunday 15th November to see the winner crowned

Terms and conditions

1. Promoter. The competition is run by Dunkertons Cider, Dowdeswell Park, London Road, Cheltenham, GL52 6UT (“Dunkertons”).
2. Who can enter. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over. 
3. How to enter. Make a minimum £5 donation to The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home through the link above, then email your donation confirmation, one photo of your dog, your name and your dog’s name to office@dunkertonscider.co.uk with “Pizza’s Perfect Pooch” in the subject line.
4. Closing date. Entries must be received by 11:59pm on Wednesday 11 November 2026. Late or incomplete entries will not be judged.
5. Number of entries. One photo per donation of £5 or more. You may enter more than once, with a separate donation for each photo.
6. Donations. All donations are paid directly to The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home (registered charity no. 1207042) and are non-refundable, including if an entry is late, incomplete or disqualified.
7. Your photo. You must have taken the photo yourself or have the photographer’s permission to enter it. The dog must be yours or entered with the owner’s permission. Photos must be genuine and not AI generated. If any people can be identified in the photo, you must have their permission.
8. How we use your photo. You keep ownership of your photo. By entering, you give Dunkertons, Pizza the Queen and The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home permission to display it at Dogs of Dunkertons and to share it on their websites, emails and social media in connection with the competition, free of charge.
9. Judging. The winner will be chosen by Pizza the Queen and her owner at Dogs of Dunkertons, Dunkertons Park, on Sunday 15th November 2026. Entries are judged on character, charm and the photo’s ability to raise a smile. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The prize. One winner will receive a gift hamper and a photo with Pizza the Queen, taken at the event on 15th November. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
11. If the winner isn’t there. You don’t need to attend to win. If the winner is not present, we will contact them by email within 7 days. The hamper must then be collected from Dunkertons Park within 28 days. The photo with Pizza is only available at the event.
12. Announcing the winner. The winner’s name, dog’s name and photo may be announced at the event and shared on our channels. Let us know when you enter if you would prefer we didn’t share your name.
13. Your data. We will use your details only to run the competition and contact the winner, and will delete them within 30 days of the event. We won’t add you to any mailing list. 
14. Disqualification. We may remove any entry that is offensive, shows a dog in distress or breaks these terms.
15. Changes. If Dogs of Dunkertons is postponed or cancelled, judging will take place on another date or online and the winner will be contacted by email. Donations will still go to the charity.
16. Social media. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Instagram, Facebook or any other social media platform.
17. Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Event Ticket Terms & Conditions

• There may be photographers and content creators at the event. By booking a ticket, you consent to yourself and anyone attending with you,  appearing in photos and videos, which may be used in promotional materials for Dunkertons and affiliated businesses.
• Card payments only at the bar.
• Free car parking available on site.
• Cars can be left overnight at the overflow car park at the owner's risk.
• Dress according to the weather; DJs, dancefloor, and food vendors are undercover. Smoking areas and toilets are outside.
• Smoking or vaping is prohibited in the marquee; use designated smoking areas.
• The use or sale of drugs is strictly forbidden. Anyone found in violation will be immediately removed from the event.
• We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behaviour of any kind, including verbal abuse toward other attendees and members of our staff. Violators will have their tickets cancelled with no refunds before the event or be asked to leave on the night.
• We may contact you via email or phone with information regarding the event.
