Fancy doing something a little different? Come along for a relaxed, fun and creative two hour watercolour workshop with local artist Rebecca McMillan and discover the simple joy of painting flowers.
Rebecca is an local artist known for her joyful, nature inspired floral illustrations. After leaving behind a career in law to follow her passion for painting, she has spent more than a decade creating and selling her artwork and stationary. Her approach is all about enjoying the process, embracing imperfections and having fun with unpredictable magic of watercolour.
No experience needed!
Rebecca will guide you through everything step by step from a blank page to your very own beautiful painting. Everything you need will be provided, so all you need to do is turn up, relax and get creative.
You'll discover:
Colour & composition - learn how to combine colours and arrange your painting to make it warm, joyful and full of life.
Watercolour techniques - have fun experimenting with wet-on-wet, dry brush, lifting out and other simple techniques.
Paint from real flowers - create your own colourful composition inspired by a beautiful bunch of locally grown flowers.
Rebecca's tips & tricks - pick up some of her favourite ways to make your paintings really pop.
Most importantly… enjoy yourself! There’s no pressure to create a “perfect” painting. Rebecca encourages you to slow down, embrace those happy little imperfections and discover your own creative style.
