Kim Cypher is one of the UK’s most exciting, exuberant and vivacious musicians on the jazz scene. A regular performer on the London and UK jazz circuit and with success of two highly acclaimed albums, award-winning music videos, performance in New York and sell-out shows at world-renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Kim has firmly secured a reputation for delivering the highest quality performance with incredible style, passion, energy and charisma together with her renowned vivacious stage presence and warm connection with all audiences.
Following huge success of a recent sellout Album Preview show at Ronnie Scott’s in London, Kim would like to launch her third album ‘Catching Moments’ locally, in her hometown of Cheltenham. As Kim and her husband Mike (drummer) host a monthly Jazz Night at Dunkertons - #dunkertonsjazzsessions, this fabulous venue will be the perfect venue for this very special night.
Kim will be joined on stage by her wonderful band of top UK musicians together with some special guest performers including:
British saxophonist, vocalist and entertainer, The Godfather of Swing - Ray Gelato
The legendary, multi-talented Ray Gelato and his band of Jazz Giants have had an illustrious and very successful career, including a residency at Ronnie Scott’s, performing for the late HM The Queen (twice), opening shows for Robbie Williams at the Albert Hall and performing for Sir Paul Mc Cartney. Ray features on Kim’s album and will be performing together with Kim and the band;
The fabulous Flaming Feathers dancers will also be appearing, performing a lively Samba / Carnival track from Kim’s album alongside the band;
Jazz FM’s Blues man David Freeman will compere the evening, which is sure to be full of positive energy as Kim and the band perform a great selection of tracks from her album including a wide range of musical styles including Jazz, Swing and Latin.
You can also grab a signed copy of the album as a souvenir of the evening.
Please arrive by 7:30 pm, music starts at 8pm
Children and families are welcome - please book a ticket for every person attending.
