An Evening with Clare Balding
(in conversation with Adam Henson)
Join us for a very special evening at Dunkertons Park, with broadcaster, TV presenter, and author Clare Balding, in conversation with farmer-presenter Adam Henson. Clare will share stories from her extraordinary career and introduce her debut novel, 'Pastures New'.
Date: Thursday, 13th November
Time: Doors 6:30 pm, Talk Starts 7:00pm
Venue: Dunkertons, Dowdeswell Park, London Road, Cheltenham, GL52 6UT

From growing up in a racing yard to commentating on the King’s Coronation procession and fronting the Olympics and Wimbledon, Clare’s life has been remarkable. Now, she turns to fiction: Pastures New is a warm and witty novel about a woman who swaps her city life for a struggling farm in Monmouthshire. Expect insights into the book, plus behind-the-scenes stories from Clare’s 30 years in broadcasting.
In conversation with her will be Adam Henson, one of Britain’s best-known farmer-presenters. Adam grew up and still works on Bemborough Farm in Gloucestershire, runs Cotswold Farm Park, and has been a presenter on BBC’s Countryfile since 2001. His deep knowledge of farming, rural life, and broadcasting makes him the perfect interlocutor for Clare’s stories.

Sometimes home is where you least expect it…
Alex has spent nearly 40 years avoiding responsibility—until an unexpected letter changes everything. She inherits a crumbling sheep farm in Wales, a place she never planned to live. With only a grumpy Welsh terrier, a village full of gossip, and a farm on the brink of collapse, Alex must unearth family secrets and find out where she truly belongs.
