The recent magazine published by CAMRA Features Dunkertons.
CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale is an independent, voluntary organisation campaigning for real ale, community pubs and consumer rights. CAMRA was formed in March 1971 by four men from the north-west who were disillusioned by the domination of the UK beer market by a handful of companies pushing products of low flavour and overall quality onto the consumer.
They have written a book called Cider Today which CAMRA members can buy for the bargain price of only £8 and £10 for non members.
The book showcases the best of the British craft cider revolution, with features on some of the characters involved in cider and perry-making, articles about noteworthy cider pubs and tips on making your own cider and how to cook with it.
You will also read about cider’s place in British folklore and get some interesting pointers about foreign ciders.
